Why can't you repair over 14 inches? Well in most cases the length of a crack in your windshield grows to 18 and 24 inches because it's left unrepaired.

The answer is no! SuperGlue is an adhesive, but the compounds in it do nothing to bond monomers into a polymer which is needed to ensure resin can bond with the windshield.

The monomer chaining is not something that superglue can do. 

No, nail polish will not work with a windshield. The only windshield repair resin is chemically engineered to bond and restore windshield strength upon repair. 

For the same reason that super glue will not work in repairing a small chip or a crack, they chemically have different molecules.
