Reno, Nev.—The National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) honored Richard Campfield by awarding him with its first President’s Award at a ceremony last week in Reno, Nev., during Auto Glass Week™ ’15.
Campfield is one of the NWRA’s founding members and was deeply involved in the development of the association’s original Recommended Practice for Windshield Repair and laterthe Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS)™. He currently serves on the NWRA’s board of directors and is its immediate past president.
Campfield has been in the windshield repair industry for nearly 30 years and founded his own windshield repair system and company, Ultra Bond, Inc. in 1989 located in Grand Junction, CO.
Additionally, he still owns and operates a retail auto glass business in both Northeastern Pennsylvania and in Grand Junction.
Current NWRA president Jeff Reddell presented the award to Campfield. “We appreciate all of Rich’s years of service to the association and to the industry,” said Reddell.
“I have tried endlessly to help the windshield repair industry,” said Campfield in accepting the award. “Repair first and when necessary, replace.”
The NWRA is a not-for-profit trade association organized in 1994 to promote the legitimacy of the windshield repair industry. The NWRA provides a forum for the exchange of ideas between its members and provides the public, industry and government with a reliable source of information regarding windshield repair. The NWRA also organizes, at a grass-roots level, campaigns to influence the governmental agencies responsible for establishing regulations for the windshield repair industry.
